They could do with some more advice....

Such as:

For goodness' sake get some ads and promos that look like they've had more than £2.53 as the total production budget! Mind you, the comedy value is quite good. My favourite is the ad for the company that supplies fire extinguishers. The people in it are so wooden they probably constitute a severe fire hazard !

Just had a look.

My, that Granada frontcap was a bit grubby wasn't it??

Looks like they dropped it on the floor before putting it in the slide scanner. The other intro slides were a mess as well.

So when did Granada start using the "Colour Production" version of the frontcap then? The one I just saw just had the Granada logo on it.

Interesting how standards changed over the years. By the early 80s such a scratched up slide would never have been used on-air.

I remember seeing a clip on TV Ark of the 'Picture box' titles & the quality of the frontcap from film, looked pretty appalling IMO.

Out of curiosity, didn't the Granada Colour Production start in November 1969(according to a 1969 Corrie clip I saw on You Tube, which said it was Colour Episode 1!) & finish sometime in the late 80's?

Thames Colour Production was another long runner into the 80's wasn't it?

The boxed ATV colour production endcap was from the early 70's to December 1981, as the DVD of Timeslip (1970/1971) used a different one, but the surviving Norman Vaughan Golden Shot from 1972 used the boxed one, minus copyright.(The archive copy is in black & white though!)
