Crossroads location crisis

By the time Carlton revived Crossroads, they had scaled down their Birmingham site, and scaled up there Nottingham one, so that NOTTINGHAM was now the major facility and it is BIRMINGHAM and Abingdon that essentially exist only for regional news.

So, despite Crossroads being set in a fictional area of BIRMINGHAM (King's Oak), it is filmed in NOTTINGHAM. Even the outdoor set of the hotel exterior is at Carlton Nottingham. I suspect that even location filming is done in Nottingham (as King's Oak is supposed to be a leafy suburb, and leafy suburbs of any town or city look much the same).

Eastenders is filmed in Hertfordshire.

And most of Hollyoaks is filmed in Liverpool

I think Emmerdale is filmed in Shipley, or is it??

I thought Emmerdale was unique, in that it is all an external film set. I'm pretty sure the whole town was purpose built for filming, but I don't know where it is.

I think it's filme in a village called Esholt in Shipley, but I might be totally wrong!

Emmerdale has, for the last couple of years or so, been filmed on location at a specially built village and studio complex on the Harewood House estate, just to the north of Leeds.
