So, here we go. New look Crimewatch starts tonight at 9 pm on BBC ONE. Crimewatch returns with new presenters and a new look. Jeremy Vine and Tina Daheley present the latest appeals, hoping viewers will help to crack some of the UK's biggest cases.

Interesting approach. Taking the show in the road isn't a bad idea really. I'm not totally convinced about the "mobile incident room", seemed a bit noisy on the last link. I wonder if they need to be a bit careful about breaking the flashing images rules though with all those police cars with their blue lights on in the back of shot? There was one particular single of the guest which was very flashy...
Awful so far. Suffers from exactly the same problem as the previous series, too much filler features rather than focusing on actual crimes that need the help of the public!
I mean come on, online dating just 20 minutes in?!
This is the first weekly programme though, so presumably they have got to spread the number of reconstructions out a bit? I wouldn't describe it as awful. At least the presenters are competent (some "Coppers" who've taken part in recent years haven't seemed very comfortable in their first few shows, and with it only being monthly they didn't get much practice!).
Much time wasting with this new show, get to the point, it's now total entertainment. A real shame, I guess this is what modern generations want, perhaps I should turn off the TV for good, the days when it provided actual basic factual content are nearly gone.
A lot of people quite rightly blasting them for using the murder of a 17 year old girl as a cliffhanger to try and get people to tune in next week to find out who the murderer is. Points of View might be interesting on Sunday!
The monthly format has served the franchise well for years and actually allowed it to be more current (and useful) than a series format would allow.
