as has been said on here many times before, the BBC and all broadcasters input and supply all the data to Sky EPG themselves.
If it says Crimewatch UK, thats the BBC not Sky.

OK Gary, point taken. But the presenters and the programme titles have been referring to it as simply "Crimewatch" for quite a few years (most definately sans-UK)

I think BUSY BEE actually provide the EPG data for BBC don't they, in which case they want their wrists slapped as they probably did the programme titles too! Shocked

Whoever provided the EPG data to DigiGuide cocked it up three times. At some point last week Crimewatch got deleted and it showed that Cars, Cops and Bailiffs was 90 minutes long. When that was reported they gave "Crimewatch UK". That was then replaced with "Crimewatch Update", and finally DigiGuide went in and edited it themselves to show "Crimewatch".

It normally shows as Crimewatch on the Sky EPG.

The theme tune is a new recording of the classic Crimewatch UK theme, which is called something like "Rescue Helecopter". Kirsty Young was on Breakfast this morning and mentioned a new set too.

So have they brought back the proper Crimewatch music then? I know the recent theme still lent heavily on the old theme, but I dunno, it sounded like that version of The Bill theme where very little of the melody was left, just the ending.

Yes it's the original theme but a new recording and actually not bad as these things go (for example Grandstand Shocked) . Certainly it's better than the last re-recording which they used before the more recent horrendous thing that thankfully has been ditched. They've brought back the frantic drumming for one thing!
