Crimewatch

I thought I might aswell start a thread for the new look Crimewatch that starts tonight on BBC One.
Does new look mean, a whole new set, titles, graphics and theme?

I think they're keeping the theme - just changing it slightly.

Bring the theme before the last one back!

Looks like they've finally dropped the 'UK' from the title as well.

The theme tune is a new recording of the classic Crimewatch UK theme, which is called something like "Rescue Helecopter". Kirsty Young was on Breakfast this morning and mentioned a new set too.

As deejay said, Kirsty was on Breakfast, she mentioned the new music and titles, along with a new set. She also said Crimewatch would be focusing more on cases that have been solved thanks to people ringing in etc.

Why focus more on solved cases? Isn't the idea to catch the new criminals??

Because they're f**king lazy to do what they do best.

Good point, I wouldn't be surprised if the call centre isn't in the studio anymore.

According to the website Matthew Amroliwala is also joining the show to present a segment named 'how they caught...'.

Nice titles and music, not liking the set though - looks like the last one but on a much smaller scale, and very dark.

The new set looks like a cross between the Watchdog office, and the original 5 News newsroom!
