Captained by an Irish man. Obviously strong competition from Wimbledon today - this will probably be the highest rated cricket match on British TV since the 2005 Ashes, but it's ratings will reflect the 14 years it has been absent from live FTA TV.

As an Ulster man watching the super over in Manchester airport I am delighted and overjoyed that England are World Champions. The England cricket team have always more or less represented all of the UK and this is a victory that all should celebrate.
Pity about the usual miserable contributors on here. I could have guessed who would be the one complaining.
