It was a mistake giving it to Sky and I don’t know which company they use but it’s like watching paint dry, Sunset and Vine however show how cricket is suppose to be presented and have brought added excitement to the cricket coverage.

I think channel4 will show the world feed instead?

Haven't Sky been using the World Feed themselves, possibly produced by Star Sports. IIRC the World feed includes the presentation too, with I think Sky only adding their own presentation for England games.

Meanwhile the radio world feed has ceased due to non-payment of commentators.

The world feed is an ICC TV production, though it's being delivered by Sunset+Vine. Sky Sports have been doing their own wraps around this for England games.

One of my friends is working on the OBs. He told me the feed that Sky are using, actually comes via Star TV in India ?! ( Doesn’t matter of course being ‘digits’ )

Are they using Tata for connectivity?

Yes, Tata are the core provider with some services handled by NEP.

It’s a far cry from the one mile SHF link between Edgbaston and the roof of Pebble Mill !
UKnews and radiobloke gave kudos

That explains why the ICC website and app (as well as others) are taking Test Match Special

Spinning off into a radio discussion briefly but have the BBC always used the Test Match Special branding for all of their radio coverage? Also is it the only thing R4 LW opts out for now?

No - Test Match Special used to, as the name suggests, only be used for test match cricket commentaries. Now it’s used for the majority of BBC Radio cricket coverage.

Radio 4 LW still has several other opt outs eg. Yesterday in Parliament at 8.30am, the Daily Service at 9.45am and Shipping Forecasts at 12.01pm and 5.54pm.

EDIT: Just checked as was doubting myself and it appears the 12.01pm Shipping Forecast has now ended.

Just spotted that they have switched schedules so that the CWC Final is on 5 Live and the Wimbledon final will be on Sports Extra tomorrow, no sign of the grand prix in the schedules, presumably that's now online only.

They are opening a pop up digital radio station for tomorrow’s race - BBC Radio 5 Live Formula 1.

Oh that's good of them, they should do that sort of thing more often.
