More 4 can take listed events? I think they should stick the Grand Prix on there. But they might need to notify Ofcom. But I guess keeping the F1 on 4 keeps two sets of advertisers happy.

I imagine Channel 4 will likely take the whole Sky Sports programme. That will work for Sky in terms of the promotion and stops Channel 4 having to put a full presentation team together at short notice.

If you didn’t subscribe to Sky for the rest of the tournament you’re hardly likely to just get the final in HD.
They said they wanted the final to get the largest possible audience and that wouldn’t be on Pick. If it was going to be on Pick it would have been shown on YouTube in HD anyway.
Interesting, I was thinking it would be on Pick so Sky still retain the advantage of having the HD broadcast.

Confirmed
Yep, it'll start on Channel 4 and then I believe move to More4 when the F1 starts, then return to C4 afterwards (as long the game is a bit longer than today's!).
Confirmed
Confirmation now that the England v New Zealand #CWC19 final on Sunday will be shown on Sky AND Channel 4/More4 FTA channels

I guess the guy on Digital Spy with "insider knowledge" of it going on the BBC was wrong...
Channel Four it seems .....
Great news: England are in Cricket World Cup Final. Even better news: you can watch it live and free on C4 in partnership with Sky Sports

Probably the same guy who told DVB Cornwall, ITV had La Liga rights.

If it wasn't on Pick it was always going to be on C4 or one of it's channels - and the British Grand Prix being an inconvenience works for Sky too - indeed I'm sure they'd rather the whole thing was on More4, but a bit of disruption at least means they can advertise it uninterupted.
Really though this does nothing to solve the exposure of England international cricket. The Cricket World Cup Final is fairly insignificant compared to the Ashes - that's the series which should be on the protected list.

I think for younger audiences the Cricket World Cup is bigger than the Ashes
