Maybe the ECB will start to think maybe there should be an FTA outlet for cricket again now.

Doubt it unless they think they can learn the finances.
Plus a fta outlet is coming next year anyway - and even highlights on the BBC rather than 4 or five helps a bit.

New 5 year deal already signed including the next WC. Sky paying 200m a year which is a third of C4s programming budget for the year!

Very decent all round there, apart from the F1 who were unsurprisngly squeezed out.

See that some Sky staff have gone a little protective of their exclusivity today. Interesting to say the least.

Might get some answers to that.

Forgotten how boring live cricket actually is.

I’d forgotten how exciting cricket actually is.

For those who aren’t watching, it’s basically gone to a penalty shoot out.
Yeah, the last man was knocked out when the scores were tied, so it went to a Super Over, six balls each, three batsmen maximum (so two Outs end the innings). And then that ended 15 runs each, meaning England won for having more sixes and fours across the whole match. If I understand that boundary rule right? I had the BBC Sport website loaded up, intending to just find out if they won or not, not expecting them to still be playing.

Well that’s how I understood it. I’m not complaining but it was a bit like having a penalty shoot out in a World Cup final that is tied after the first 10 penalties, then just deciding to choose the winner based on who had the most shots on target.

In two years time there is the final of the test championship being held at Lord's. Were England to make it the pressure would be on Sky to allow the BBC (Who by then will be airing highlights) to show it.

Don’t be silly, we all know the BBC will have been closed down by then.
