Incidentally, my housemate text me to say she saw the creator on GMTV this morning. An "evil Swede". Anybody see him?

Oh they didn't stop banging on about it.

Kate and John hated it [and wore fetching ear muffs when it was played], but Fiona couldn't get enough.

How many CD's do you have to sell these days to get to No. 1?

The benchmark use to be around 100,000 would see some sort of guarantee but it's a lot lower these days and on average week, I'm guessing half of that figure would be good enough for number 1.

I really don't understand what makes it Number 1. Radio 1 did a poll and 94% of listeners who texted in said they hated it. How the hell then can it be beating Coldplay almost 4 fold in the charts!?

Perhaps the logic involved meant that not everybody who buys singles automatically listen to Radio 1. The main core of buyers for this song seems to be kids who are using pester power and the older clientel who think it's all hip and trendy!

You know it's getting bad when my mum's screaming at the telly over the Crazy Frog ad! Just heard her moaning that it's on again!

At least Timmy Mallett wasn't on at every ad break on hundreds of TV channels. Laughing

Had slightly fewer channels in those days remember! Ad space was somewhat more expensive! Otherwise I can well believe we'd have had "Get the fantastic sound of Timmy Mallet on your mobile" day in day out.
