Who's on ITV at the mo? Quick reactions!

Fern fluffed her line at the end saying "...and Sir Trevor McDonald will be here tomorrow celebrating 50 years of nude..(cue laughter).., 50 years of news broadcasting"

Then the anno said over the credits, "let's hope there's none of that next with the ITV Lunchtime News".

See, they're not all robotic, marketing voice machines...

I think Channel 5 continuity is particularly excellent at the moment. A great line-up and some great freelancers in the form of Ted May and Trish - a real breath of fresh air.

ALL the anouncers at five are freelances, James, there's nobody there on contract.

They have a freelance "bank" and they each do around ten shifts a month.

I think the reason you get the impression that many are on contract is that the team hasn't varied for a couple of years, so you get a sense of continuity from the announcers, if you'll excuse the pun.

Eariler tonight after Diary Room Uncut we were told that BBLB was coming up next to ensure that there was slightly more Big Brother than Crazy Frog on E4!

Brilliant!

There was another great announcement at the end of the credits before the O.C. started which mentioned Jim from Neighbours is in it.
