Cowboy Builders - The mystery of the missing episodes !

Hmm now one of my fav tv shows is Cowboy Builders and great a new series starts but after just 3 episodes the series comes to an abrupt halt. I have emailed Five twice but no response

Does anyone know any reason why the series stopped so suddenly ?

I wondered why it was short a series this time.

No one's had a pop at them legally, have they?

Because it's a rip-off of Clive Holland's Cowboy Trap?

The current run on Mondays at 19:00 seems to be repeats, but is scheduled at least 5 episodes according to Digiguide (the third being tomorrow)

IIRC Cowboy Builders was on air just before Cowboy Trap


The ratings were sub 1 million. For a show capable of more they probably pulled it until they can find a better slot for it

Easy - it should have been scheduled for Wednesdays at 9pm after a lead in from Dallas!

In fact Wednesdays would be a perfect night for Channel 5....

2100 Cowboys Builders, Cowboy Traders, The Hotel Inspector, The Restaurant Inspector

Would there be issues putting Dallas on before the watershed?

But it was a good slot peak time etc, first I have heard of a show being pulled because of low ratings

I didn't realise - although Cowboy Trap did have some legal issues that pushed back the broadcast date, I believe.
