I was trying to work that out myself, I don't know of any studio buildings in area they were. But then again, studio Portakabins can be put anyway nowadays so it doesn't surprise me!

Huw Edwards on the 6 o'clock news appears to be somewhere across the Thames tonight, with the whole of the Houses of Parliament in the background. And I'm fairly sure it's a real view, because you can see the side of the window frame. So where is he?

perhaps hes in a barge?

My mistake, the schedules on Sky EPG were updated...sort of. Network/London, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales were updated, but the English Regions were not.

Wouldn't he be bobbing up and down a bit if that were the case? Wouldn't want to risk getting a seasick presenter, anyhow.

He's in the APTN building on the Thames - I think.

Obviously nowhere near the action.

What are ITV doing for this event?

Plough on with crappy soap known as Emmerdale no doubt?

Well, Calendar have just said you can find out the result of the vote on a "specially extended ITV News after Calendar". As the result is due at 7pm, they'll probably extend by a few minutes, perhaps ?

ITV have taken the National Weather ahead of the Evening News bulletin.

Mark has also told us that he will be giving us the result live on this programme at 6.59pm "thats one minute to 7" for those who can't tell the time.

In the East the Freeview now/next guide labels the extended part of the 6 o'clock news as a BBC News Special. Is this being simulcast with News 24?

Edit: on News 24 the now/next guide still says 18:45-19:00 Sportsday, but I can't see them having sports news so close to the VOC result so I guess it just hasn't been updated yet.

That'll be a yes then..
There's a very blue background to the 2-way graphics, but no titles.

Do three-line astons usually look like that?

They do know that these things sometimes don't run to schedule, don't they?

Witness (or not, as the case was) Nelson Mandela's release.

The BBC and ITV promised some tightly scheduled live coverage, but it took so long they got bored, cut to recorded programming and missed it.

Not quite the same sort of situation tonight, but could totally mess up the schedules if they are determined to cover it properly.
