And let's not mention tonight's "Your Country needs you" Rolling Eyes

Oh, I rather enjoyed it.

I wasn't home in time for the first show, but saw all of the second installment.

Laughing at the top news item on the 10:10pm BBC One news (straight after the YCNY result). It was all that stuff about Gordon Brown warning against a "break up of the UK" attitude (especially amongst Scottish nationalists). Having just been preceeded by a quiz programme that encouraged the main UK nations to be in competition with each other... Rolling Eyes

Also Laughing at closing credits of YCNY. It was a BBC Scotland production. And Scotland came in last place, with a very pathetically low score indeed. Confused

Scottish notes aren't actually legal tender in England though, no English trader is under any legal obligation to accept them. Most banks will take them in goodwill.

Bizarrely enough, they aren't actually "legal tender" in Scotland either, but there is a "common understanding and acceptance" of their use.

I won a pub quiz with that knowlegde, don't you know.

I appreciate people in England might not want them given in change, but for an English woman in Scotland to complain is just nutty.

I would have sent her away with a flea in her ear.

How on earth did such a low budget cheap seen it all before and better, programme manage 5 million viewers on Saturday night

There must be at least 2 million people who couldn't find their remote and their TV's were stuck on BBC1

Have to agree about the English Woman being nutty, the only Scottish banknotes I would refuse are £1 notes, which I'm suprised they still produce.

If the show had people booing muslims or Iraqis, the BBC wouln't DARE show it! They are so PC these days that it is unbelievable! I wouldn't really mind this programme if the BBC ever dared to show some shows which slandered their "Oh so precious" muslim audiences! BBC said they refused to have Friar Tuck in their Robin Hood series, because it didn't tie in with their version of the stories. Balls. Everyone knows that the BBC were just too scared to show a devout catholic on their TV shows. It makes me absolutley vomit. That's why I value the old comedy of the BBC, they pushed the boundries, and showed things that would NEVER be shown these days!

*Rant over*
