Countdown : Jeff and Rachel take over

The last Countdown at Leeds is being filmed today, so yet another era coming to an end for them. Appropriately enough Gyles Brandreth is in the chair - you know, the one who (reportedly, I assume) said he'd never ever ever be involved in the show ever again following the way they treated Carol.

EDIT: They've now updated that to say filming will continue in Leeds until April.

I think he also said he wouldn't be involved since Richard Whiteley died. He's all talk that Brandreth fella.

Although he probably never said anything of the sort anyway.

I think these new presenters are the best for countdown since Richerd and Carol.

Agreed, I've been watching the programme more since Jeff and Rachel took over, it just brought some fresh air into the programme. I think Rachel's proved herself aswell, she had a shaky start, but she's great at the numbers, even when many doubted her.
