Hate it already. Cheap plastic backboard, same desks only with a new 'fake marble' worktop that don't even match the 'colour scheme' but worst of all they still got those nasty LCD screens which in that photograph look worse than ever.

I reckon lighting will make a big difference. I don't think that photo does it justice.

It's better than the pink set

Looks very nice - the pink stripes had more than over stayed their welcome!

And according to C4 listings, Andrew Sachs is in dictionary corner for week 1.

I can't say I like the new set that much, it might take some time to grow on me.
Also it looks like there is a bigger gap between the presenter and the contestants.

I suppose they are trying to save space and have combined both the letters and numbers games, so this would mean the main set is larger.

It's very Numberwang that feature, isn't it?

I like the look of the new set quite classy, makes me think of University Challenge.

It also means the presenter can look at the dictionary corner guest.

I personally think with that colour scheme and floor pattern, it has a hint of swimming baths to it! Laughing

Ah well, sure I'll grow to like it... like everything we critisise on here!
