Again, its all tabloid speculation. They realise Des lives down south so have made up this whole sorry story. They are the insult to Richard Whiteley and that is what is disgusting.

If Countdown move away from Yorkshire, they won't be much happening at Leeds Studios will it?
That'll be tommorow's rumour, the Leeds studios closing down. I believe they will move the interior sets of Emmerdale to Manchester and build a Tescos on Kirkstall Road. This is fact I read it in Thursday's Daily Star!. There was a line at the bottom "ITV say there are no plans to close the Leeds Studios" but we will ignore that bit

Lack of available studios at Leeds - one was permanently used for Granada Breeze and ISTR there was some refurbishment going on to some studios.
