There is no way the BBC would allow one of their characters to be used in this way. Copyright, anyone?

It is possible that Shane could be brought in to Corrie as an entirely new character, but I doubt it.

The real benificiary of this rumour will be Shane Richie when it comes to his contract renegotiation for EE.

It would suprise me if Shane Ritchie wanted to go back to Granada, as do remember he presented Lucky Numbers, which ironically went out at the same time as Eastenders on a Monday night, I can't remember if it was the network or Granada who dropped him, as he was a well respected presenter at ITV until a few years ago.

Even though I can't stand Eastenders I think he should stay for the time being. As the soap seems right with him and is going quite well. Plus it wouldn't feel right if he jumped ship straight away.

Since this is very relevant to Consternation Street, why has it not been posted in the thread dedicated to discussion of that prime time drama.

Creating threads such as these is a very untidy practice, and only serves as an exercise in self promotion and assuaging attention deficit syndrome.

Will you stop slagging people, Little Mr/Ms/Miss Perfect.
