What has Jane McNaught done to Coronation Street?

This week, she brought in Nichola McAuliffe from Surgical Spirit to play Ken's new love interest.Yuk!

She's poor in Coronation Street-why did John Bowe have to go for her?

No wonder Corrie's audience is down!

Is Jane McNaught the lady they bought back after some 5 years? http://web.ukonline.co.uk/tv.home/forum/emoticons/confused.gif

No,that's Carolyn Renloyds or whatever her name is who's coming back or 5 years.

Jane McNaught's the outgoing one-and before she goes, she's brought in Nichola McAuliffe to send more viewers fleeing!

Most news is filmed in 4:3 but people dont moan about that.
Oh wait. yes they do. Why do people care that soemthing is filmed in 4:3? Yes, you might have a widescreen set but it doesnt mean everything has to be made for your needs. I think its the producers choice and they probabally made the opinion cos moat people still have 4:3 sets- so its being made for their needs! Everyones needs should be catered for whther you aggree with it or not. If you're so bothered either watch a widescreen programme or crop/stretch the image. It would still be the same programme if it was made in 16:9 and Im glad to see a 4:3 programme as almost everything is 16:9 these days even though most people still have 4:3 sets. Around 80% of programming these days is 16:9, so why get mad over one programme that is still made 4:3 for the benfit of 4:3 viewers? There are plenty more programmes made in 16:9 for you to watch.

I think cost is an issue as all the cameras and facilities would have to be converted - most people watching on analogue aren't that bothered about having thin black lines at the top and bottom of the screen.
