On 5 Live, on Fridays Elis & John and The Mayo/Kermode movie show have been moved to weekend 2100 slots with standard news programming replacing them. As much as I love E&J that slot has always felt out of place.

5 Live have been having a tough time replacing all the sports output - most nights the late show has been brought forward an hour to run from 2100-0000, adding a documentary repeat at midnight before Up All Night.

With reference to Up All Night, that's being replaced by a BBC World Service simulcast. As with the recent changes to TV News, I wonder how many of these changes will stay beyond the current situation?

I've decided to take my Amazon Prime 30 day free subscription to help get me through all this. Loads of the old 50s-70s US comedies I enjoy to watch on there. Been watching Rowan and Martin's Laugh-in, bizarre show! Interesting to see Mercator from the first series of Parallel 9 as a cast member on the first season too, wonder if he knew 25 years later he'd be presenting a bizarre BBC Saturday Morning kids's show.

The fact the show was put together by physically splicing quad videotape, and there's so many cuts in it really is impressive too. Of course it's simple to do on modern NLE kit, but in 1968 it must have been arduos and very time consuming work.

We were probably only a couple of months away from Christmas channels starting anyway. Wink

Don't really want to start another thread on Coronavirus but the ads before The Last Leg aren't particularly indicating there is an issue with ads for Turkish Airlines and something 12 minutes on the tube out of London.

There is an advert for the new Trolls movie kicking about as well, saw it a few times on ITV earlier, perfect for the kids in the Easter holidays, in cinemas April 7th.

The trolls advert will probably be re edited to reference the fact it’s premiering on sky store

Is some talk (admitedly I think in another thread here) about whether that idea may have to be pulled due to the demands on broadband seeing streamers lowering their video quality.

They are very similar to Channel 5 and is owned by one of C5's previous owners RTL. Even the news is C5 esque.

The slot used for the Christmas films (largely from Hallmark) is the same slot used for the romantic movie slot consisting of US TV movies.
