Can't help feeling that Question Time is actually better without a studio audience present. Ther politicians aren't able to play to the audience, and it's not being interrupted with clapping etc..
Some American media made this same point about the Biden/Sanders debate the other night.
Marvel's Avengers Assemble will air on Saturday at 7pm with a double bill of Fleabag in the MOTD slot. Made in Dagenham airs at 10.30pm on Sunday.
Fleabag has now been pushed back to accommodate a televised version of the new MOTD 'Top 10s' podcast, not a bad solution to what to do with that slot.
Also looks like the promised BBC One Sunday Worship series will be starting this Sunday morning.
I noticed logging on to the iPlayer app on Virgin this morning that a "kids" profile has appeared (not that there are any kids in this house), I presume this is part of them trying to provide for kids now schools have closed from today?
On 5 Live, on Fridays Elis & John and The Mayo/Kermode movie show have been moved to weekend 2100 slots with standard news programming replacing them. As much as I love E&J that slot has always felt out of place.
5 Live have been having a tough time replacing all the sports output - most nights the late show has been brought forward an hour to run from 2100-0000, adding a documentary repeat at midnight before Up All Night.
And no doubt the good Doctor Kermode will be reviewing films on television over the coming week, more than the usual 'TV movie of the week and TV movie so bad its bad feature' during the local
Icini-mega-screenplex closedown.
I'm really pleased it's carrying on, it bring's me and so many others a lot of enjoyment and that is really needed right now. So many laughs listening to the show (HLTJI). Plus they were responsible for the Olympic Opening ceremony being what it was (sort of), so they can do what they want!
