Virgin Media News in Ireland have extended their flagship “News at 5:30” from 30 minutes to 60 minutes for the duration of the pandemic to cover Department of Health press conferences.

At least they have done something extra

That makes sense, up to now the press conference has regularly started just as the normal 5.30 bulletin ended. It means that the Six O’Clock show on Virgin Media One has been bumped to 6.30 and Emmerdale when it’s on has been moved to 7.30.

Don't they show Corrie too? If Emmerdale got pushed back half an hour that must've been too, assuming they usually air them at the same time ITV does.

If they still have News at 8 I guess they air Corrie at 8.30. Most sensible way actually to fill the holes in the schedule.
Be nicer and more tolerant to each other. Them's the rules.

Coronation Street is indeed airing at 8.30 on Virgin Media One.

Now that the weekly clapping is over, I notice that BBC One doesn't have it in the schedule for 8pm tonight, but the Ross Kemp programme is still starting at 8.05 and is 54 minutes long. Garden Rescue before it is only 28 minutes long. Wonder if they've extended Ross Kemp's programme to fill the extra five minutes

Wouldn't it be easier to just add a few extra minutes of waffle into the One show and run Garden Rescue slightly later than billed.

Garden Rescue ended a minute late and Ross Kemp started a minute early, with two minutes worth of trails in between. For anyone wondering!

Anyone know where Peter Crouch Save Our Summer is being filmed? Set looks quite big, with different areas. Helping with the social distancing of course.

BBC One schedule didn't get the Coronavirus briefing listed in advance in the schedule until recently. Now it is no longer going to be on, they still have it there. The programmes that had been displaced to BBC Two will now doubtless fill the gap in their schedules on BBC One. I am looking forward to BBC Two filling the gap it now has.
