That makes sense, up to now the press conference has regularly started just as the normal 5.30 bulletin ended. It means that the Six O’Clock show on Virgin Media One has been bumped to 6.30 and Emmerdale when it’s on has been moved to 7.30.
Now that the weekly clapping is over, I notice that BBC One doesn't have it in the schedule for 8pm tonight, but the Ross Kemp programme is still starting at 8.05 and is 54 minutes long. Garden Rescue before it is only 28 minutes long. Wonder if they've extended Ross Kemp's programme to fill the extra five minutes

As we expected: https://www.bbc.co.uk/schedules/p00fzl6p/2020/06/25 BBC One schedule didn't get the Coronavirus briefing listed in advance in the schedule until recently. Now it is no longer going to be on, they still have it there. The programmes that had been displaced to BBC Two will now doubtless fill the gap in their schedules on BBC One. I am looking forward to BBC Two filling the gap it now has.
