Yes, it was announced quite early they'd show it.

ABC in Australia getting some flack for not showing it live at 5am especially as all the commercial networks did.

Was it aired live on any US network - obviously they're not part of the Commonwealth but they usually lap up anything royal and it'll be quite a novelty for them nowadays to take a coherent speech from a Head of State.

I forgot C4 News was already scheduled, that was me looking at "view other showings" on the EPG for the message, which of course wouldn't have been the case for C4 as it was shown as part of the news.

Someone tweeted last night that all the US news channels were taking it.

I'm assuming that the BBC are the only go to people for times of emergency addresses from the Queen like today?

The BBC/ITV/Sky rotation only applies to the Christmas message?

I watched it on C4 News, I haven’t watched a BBC news bulletin in years, decades probably.

I know CNN US broadcast it - don’t know about the main networks...

Apparently BBC America did broadcast it aswell ... during a Hunger Games-Marathon which resulted in this message appearing on-screen:

So it looks like either Emmerdale or Corrie have a VE Day episode coming up in about 2 months time as well

Not that the date change matters any more, since we won't be able to do any of the planned events for it...
