Seems very ironic to be questioning YBF’s relevance nowadays when it’s reaching a 30 Year milestone in just a couple of weeks. Not many shows could claim that milestone nowadays.

YBF still has a relevance in 2020. Fail videos are some of the most popular videos on YouTube. So YBF taps into this, and more importantly it’s what’s giving Harry Hill prominence nowadays since TV Burp.

You’ve Been Framed had a novelty factor as camcorders were very expensive back in the 90s. Given the advent of smartphones and YouTube, it’s surprising that YBF have managed to remain on air.

Everyone enjoys clips of people falling over.

Going back on topic there's another Martin Lewis programme this Thursday at 8pm. According to the weekly MSE email he's hoping to present from his home this week.

Gregg Wallace's Fun Weekend which was meant to air this Friday on Channel 5 has been pulled and replacing it is Around the World by Train which originally was airing before it at 8pm. I would guess it's been pulled due to the fact it features cities that are affected by the crisis and also no one's exactly going on weekend breaks anytime soon.

You've Been Framed is now scheduled in place of tomorrow's and Thursday's Emmerdale.

As a result of this, ITV2 have scheduled movies in the evening slot (6-9pm) in which they usually show YBF.

Tonight: Yes Man
Thursday: Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang

Well I've just noticed the schedule for tonight and seen they've stuck You've Been Framed onto main ITV at 7pm.

Although I have to say it's refreshing to see something other than the perpetual Emmerdale at that time, even if it's replacement is the equally perpetual staple that is You've Been Framed.

I agree. This must be the first time in nearly 20 years since Emmerdale went to 5 nights a week (apart from when the schedule has been changed for Sport) when something else has aired in the 7pm weeknight slot. Its a shame ITV got rid of the other shows that were regulars in the slot until Emmerdale took over, particularly quiz shows on a Friday evening. Maybe they wouldn't have to resort to YBF as a replacement then.

Think there have been a lot more people than just him asking for that!

A case of clearing the rights and getting details of the rest of the offering together. I believe the 2012 idea had been around in the BBC for a few weeks, but the rights situation was ‘very difficult’.

When I achieve world domination (it's taken a bit of a knock back in recent weeks) the IOC will be first against the wall

A reminder that Eurovision Sport has cleared an awful lotof these rights for PSBs across Europe, as I highlighted what seems a month or so ago, but was actually earlier this week....

BBC deal with the IOC hasn't been via EBU since 2012, they'll have had to clear those rights themselves, might have needed a chat with Discovery as well. Some of the rights holder deals with the EBU (possibly UEFA amongst them) don't include the UK either.

I don't expect a sudden splurge of Little and Large repeats filling the schedules in memorium though
