It's actually YBF's 30th Birthday in two weeks time. Would be nice for them to recognise that at some point this year.

to be fair YBF! is hardly ever on the main ITV these days, and even if it is it tends to be 5:30pm on an august saturday

That's true - reruns of The Chase etc. seem to have bumped it out of the Saturday slot where it had aired week in week out for years.

Last new episode aired 2 March 2019 according to Wikipedia. That season started on 28 October 2017, and the previous season ran from 4 April 2015 to 27 August 2016, so new episode airings have definitely slowed down, taking over a year to air only 13-16 episodes and then having a gap of over a year between runs.

The YBF episodes filling for Emmerdale are brand new.

New as in not shown before, but I wonder how long they've been sitting on the shelf. The fact past series have been stretched air air over as much as 2 years shows episodes can sit on the shelf for ages until they're finally shown.

The "unseen on UK Telly" makes me wonder if they've been shown elsewhere. Is YBF shown in any other countries?

ITV are showing a new comedy at the moment, Kate & Koji on Wednesday nights. They don't really have many other recent comedies, unless they repeated Bad Move.

We all need a laugh indeed. So why not place some ITV comedies in the 7pm slot instead? Not necessarily the very old ones like they do on ITV3 but maybe things like the Ian McKellan Vicious for example from not too long ago.

I'd argue You've Been Framed is funnier than Vicious.

And far more suitable for 7pm, I feel.

I do miss the old days of ITV where the 7pm slot was not only for Emmerdale but had other programmes in it too - There is a bit of soap overload, and maybe this coronavirus pandemic has helped to show that the constant barrage of soaps on the prime time schedules are not really needed and can be cut back to make way for other forms of shows.

For example in 1980 the 7.00pm slot on ITV was filled with the likes of The Kenny Everett Video Show, Charlie's Angels, This Is Your Life, Give Us A Clue, The Muppet Show, Play Your Cards Right etc - not just back to back Emmerdale

Just my opinion I know, don't have a go at me.
