I’m enjoying it. Straight to the point, full of actual performances rather than heaps of waffle.
The Voice doing a really bad job with their clip show - basically will.i.am talking for an hour with clips so short they might as well be on C5.

If anything I suspect we'll see a major drama or two actually end up being pushed back to launch at Christmas instead. Indeed in recent years they've been doing that anyway - their New Years Day effort is usually the first of a series rather than a standalone special.
(Talking of which dusting off Sherlock to rerun now isn't a bad idea - that's not really been repeated much at all).

I'm surprised The Archers needs to reduce, surely that can be recorded without the need of a studio?
Radio drama studios are pretty specialised places, with a variety of carefully designed acoustic treatments. I think Archers fans would probably live with fewer episodes than ones that didn't sound right.
See their studio here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01mwrh5/p01mwrdh
Having said that, they're going to be working from home: https://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/latestnews/2020/coronavirus-archers

With the TV soaps stopping production, I see The Archers has reduced from six to five episodes a week.
I wonder whether we'll see a podcast version of EastEnders (produced with actors at home) on BBC Sounds once episodes in the can run out?

So this Thursday will be the first time no new episode of any soap has been broadcast on UK television (in primetime, in English at least - both Doctors and Pobol y Cwm are schedule ATM) on a weekday in quite some time I'd have thought -possibly since 9/11, and the first time they've not been scheduled surely since the late 80s when Corrie went three times a week.
Even during the World Cups they tend to be scheduled on the side not showing the game, and even then Hollyoaks and the Aussie soaps have not been affected.

EastEnders was still broadcast on the night of 9/11 I believe.

Yes - was trying to find the schedules as I know they're on a site somewhere. Suspect though if it wasn't on BBC1 it would have aired on BBC2.

Pretty much, especially at the weekends, because the time of the press conference isn't being confirmed until the morning.
Is the BBC One afternoon schedule being decided on a day to day basis? I assumed they'd have been including the daily press conference in the schedule by now.

On the day of 9/11. Crossroads was on at the time the news broke, and only the first half was shown on ITV1. I remember this because I was at home watching it at the time.
They ended up showing the full episode later on in the evening on ITV2.
