ITV just showed a PIF with Chris Witty, almost feels inappropriate to show now he's caught it himself.
Why does that PIF exist in the first place anyway? Witty just quotes Boris's Monday evening statement, so they might have well have just used the footage from that.

Presumably it’s better to have the message coming from someone who is a non-partisan medical expert and for that message to be delivered in the most concise way.

Is it a PIF or just COI advertising? It seems to have borrowed its style entirely from a UNICEF ad, which I'm not sure really makes it stand out.

BBC1 have shown the same messages, preceeded by an ident, so I'm assuming it's a PIF rather than paid advertising.

It's been running a few days.

How is the shut down of tv production going to affect the Christmas schedules for this year... it’s obvious that when things calm down tv recording will be backlogged and we could have another lock down next autumn until we get a workable vaccine?

Doctor Who is already in the can, but yeah, a lot of other shows may well be not made, if this isn't over in a couple of months or so.

If that's the case, it's definitely an excuse for the BBC to start digging out their archives and air past Christmas specials.

You can expect production teams to be planning for extended recording sessions over the summer months to fill the autumn schedules. If the restrictions are eased by the end of May, this means programmes can use June to September of the summer months to really get going and record as much as they can.

Remember the government and the doctors are hoping the summer will ease the situation, but there is always the threat that it could pick up again from late October, November - and so the broadcasters will be wanting to get as much programmes recorded, to ensure their winter schedules are covered.

I do have a feeling the soaps and dramas will be in hyper production come the summer, knowing this will be the time they have to have a huge amount made for the autumn/winter schedules.

The soaps are already in hyper production all year round, so will be interesting to see what they do to cope.

Because it needs to be 30 seconds and written to be 30 seconds and has graphics.

Chopping down a 4 minute statement won't work

It's only so far been declared he has symptoms, not seen anything to suggest he's tested positive?
