In radio, Kelvin McKenzie’s station LoveSport is to stop broadcasting for the time being https://radiotoday.co.uk/2020/04/love-sport-takes-time-out-during-coronavirus/

It was struggling for a while, very few listeners and a few months back they frequency swapped from one of the best MW frequencies in London to one that only covers North Nondon presumably to save money

I wonder if that it's a way of closing it down without losing face?

Also in New Zealand Radio Sport has closed - possibly for good, although the reports suggest a possible return, it was considered for closure a couple of years ago. Plus Bauer has pulled out of the NZ magazine market by closing their operation there. (not UK or TV related, but a sign that media companies are making difficult decisions already).

That's a shame, I used to listen to their commentary of the ASB Classic tennis online.

Not sure if they still are but 5 Live Sports Extra was looping an exercise routine in the mornings.

Yes, started on a Monday and back tomorrow as it seems to be weekdays - aimed at the older end of the market but available as a podcast also. Guess they had to use Sports Extra for something as it's a bit of a waste of a station currently.

Angus has been asked back twice before and refused. He wants nothing to do with it now.

I'd wondered about that as well, especially as she's just left the BBC so was a bit of an odd choice. I see Stephen Magnan and Victoria Coren Mitchell are next up, I can see it being established hosts for the whole series, and not many new faces.

Haven't they pretty much rotated through the same faces for years now?

The vast majority do tend to be old reliables but they try and get a couple of new faces in the hosts chair every series. Last year off the top of my head Charlie Brooker, Adil Ray and David Dimbleby were all first time hosts.

You're right about Dimbleby, but the others have presented before. The only other new presenter in 2019 was Helen McCrory.

Speaking of HIGNFY, given it’s the 30th anniversary in September, I wonder if they’ll do some kind of retrospective documentary?

Ah fair enough. Like I said top of the head stuff. To be fair looks like Charlie Brooker hadn't done it for at least 3 years so it isn't always the exact same rotation.

There is one main reason for Angus not returning and that is Paul Merton - both hate each other, with no love lost, even now in 2020.

The below video is a compilation clips from the first episode to be recorded after Angus' 'scandal'.

While they all partake in the ribbing, Paul seems to take particular delight in it all.

I should have put ‘according to Wikipedia’, sorry. I probably came across as one of those people who Googles stuff and then posts it as if they know everything, but I knew Charlie had hosted it more than once.
