All much calmer with the EPG on Virgin - it’s not been updated at all. (This is standard, and rubbish.)

I sometimes wonder if Virgin Media realise they have a EPG

It’s something I’m not going to miss when my contract is up in April and I go back to Sky.

My contract is up now - I got an email saying so, does this mean I can easily switch to Sky too?

Even Beth Rigby, the Political Editor on Sky News, just mentioned how people would be wanting to watch Strictly Come Dancing on BBC One

There is nothing to stop you having both, and actually it would be prudent to overlap both services by a week or two. Even the broadband delivery is separate. Sky use BT's network, Virgin use their own. If you don't have a BT master socket in your home, that will need Openreach to come and install. If you do, then it will burst back into life when the Sky broadband service activates

So what odds on Boris turning up for this presser just as BBC One goes to the regional opts?

I haven't checked, are the Nations carrying this charade or doing their own thing as it won't really have much impact?

Little Mix pulled again tonight due to Boris.

I wonder if they'll just stick this on iPlayer. I think the studio shows are still prerecorded (I assume the final next week is live though).

Strictly can run late and the rugby continue on BBC2 if needs be. Recording the results show later less of an issue with no real audience.

Indeed presumably this lockdown will see an end to the small audiences some shows have had if they do continue with studio recordings.

I would assume studio recordings will still happen as it's considered work. It's one of the reason they have the virtual audiences for shows like HIGNFY and Mock the Week.

The EPG is all over the place understandably.... I’m sure it’ll update in due course.

This comes up every time. It's down to the Tivo software, not Virgin (though it is Virgin's fault for using Tivo)

Tivo does not use a dynamic EPG because in in the US, it's down to the local affiliates to handle the EPG, and they don't bother with updating it. They either join the network shows 'already in progress' or they delay the entire network schedule the length of the delay and catch up overnight.

ITV having live rugby until 7pm, and then a news bulletin which (as it turns out) is not too long after BoJo's speech, has turned out to be perfect. None of the t!tting about with the schedule that has happened on BBC One.

Has anybody apart from Little Mix's own mothers even been watching their show?! UK television needed yet another sodding "search for a new pop star" type show, about as much as it needs yet another soap opera.
BFGArmy and Meridian AM gave kudos

Looks like TV production will be unaffected apart from no audiences but luckily some shows have already adopted virtual audiences.

Kinda hoping for a Graham Norton Show with awkward silences. It’d be like those clips from sitcoms with the laugh tracks removed on YouTube.
