Is that Studio 6A? I thought that was being used for 4th hour of Today or similar.

I'm impressed they've managed to film 14 episodes in March, that means they will no gap between episodes if they manage to finish filming the next batch in September.

I wonder how Only Connect will film its episodes with the adjustment? Mastermind I assume can film without the audience and the contestants spaced apart.

Only Connect might have to space out the three contestants on each team, other than that, there is no studio audience anyway, it should be easy enough for them.

How would they confer?

University Challenge presumably will have the same issue on return to filming...?

If the contestants are tested then it should be fine.

I believe the desk extends for 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, so that will have come in handy.

If it was filmed post lock down, naugty Glasgow for sneaking in a few handshakes at the end Very Happy

Just read on Digital Spy the first 14 episodes were recorded early March but the next lot have been delayed until September, so there'll probably be some slight tweaks for those

Which takes them into the next academic year - wouldn't some contestants no longer be eligible for University Challenge? I assume the students will still graduate even if they don't get to do the mortar board thing.

Was Countdown produced with no audience? They will probably do what University Challenge did and just put in taped applause etc?

Eligibility won't be the issue (it's quite easy to say that anyone who was eligible when filming was suspended remains eligible) but rather whether some of the international contestants have now returned to their home countries.

For ITV Studios, the wellbeing of our studio audience is of the utmost priority, and therefore, ITV have taken the decision to cancel audience attendance for the Countdown production for the time being. We really do appreciate your continued support and understanding, and look forward very much to seeing you back in studio with us when we have more dates available.

Talking of which, I didn't realize Dudley had now retired from warm up duties! On the broadcast it was hard to miss his whopping and cheering!

It seems that Hollyoaks has returned to filming however the final episode produced before lockdown will air next week and then it will be off screen until September before returning 4 nights a week. I suppose it makes sense rather than rush to produce episodes to keep it on air to build up a bit of a backlog to ensure the series goes to 4 nights from the autumn. I wonder how long it will be before the ITV soaps start to increase their episodes.
