I'd definally agree about Kirk, he's so limited compared to Graham.

Kirk is a one trick 'I'm a bit thick me' routine

Graham is a much more interesting deep character. They should really have kept someone like Daryll for him to bounce off rather than Kirk.

John Stape/Colin Fishwick will get found out at some point so will leave then. Fizz can be annoying so could go, but ITV get their money's worth as she always does the spin offs/trailers/itv.com etc. Chesney would therefore either need to go, or Cilla should be brought back, or should be adopted by the Windasses when Fizz goes down for being involved in the Colin Fishwick fraud.

Maybe Fat Brenda should be introduced as an on screen character?

isn't John to meet a teacher who either knows him or knew Colin

I think that would ruin the "Maris Crane" style mystery of Fat Brenda Smile

I think Fat Brenda is the Mrs Ventrus/Her Indoors/Mrs Mainwaring of Coro!

I think Graham does have more depth: Whilst there's the clown side of him, I reckon we may just a different side to him over the next few weeks Wink

I think Graham has been set up to be the most intelligent person on the street, Whether it will serve a purpose in the long term though I've no idea!...

Wasn't Kirk supposed to be leaving - about five years ago!

Corrie legend Betty in hospital

(UKPA) – 6 hours ago

Long-serving Coronation Street veteran Betty Driver is in hospital with a chest infection.

The 89-year-old actress, who plays Rovers Return barmaid Betty Williams, is being treated in a private clinic.

The TV favourite - famed among Corrie fans for her hotpot - is understood to be keen to return to work, and her co-stars have sent get-well wishes.

A Weatherfield source said: "She is probably the most popular person in the cast.

"Everyone wants her to get well and get back on set."

Betty is the show's oldest cast member, and has been in the soap since 1969.

A soap spokesman declined to give details of her condition, adding: "It is a private medical matter."

Only saw her on TV yesterday, being told she was a bigot.

Seriously though, hope she does get well soon.

Great choice of music down at The Rovers: Money For Nothing, with scenes with Lewis. And All By Myself when Nathasha got stood up. Finally Love Is Stranger-- for Aud's and Reet's heart-to-heart

I'm going to have to use Graeme's line about sarcasm, classic.

Such a shame Rachel Leskovac is leaving. I think the public really liked her, and her character was just settling in. Why the hell get rid of her? Just because Maria is coming back maybe?

They didn't give her enough storylines to work with. I agree it's a shame - she's a good actress I think.
