Cracking episode - really well put together. Congratulations to all involved. I'm sure the overnights will be interesting!

If they're anything like Monday's I wouldn't be surprised if the 10pm gets less than the 7.30pm, strange things like that always happen!

Possibly - but this was the climax of the storyline and the dramatic highlight. We shall see!

wow! i thought here we go "Don's back"

Exactly what i thought!

First thing I thought too, she's doing a Don Brennan.

Anyway the 10pm has to be the best one that I have seen in ages, it just got better and better, and again the use of the Real Time affect. Before she was killed I assumed she was going to turn round and drive back, but the Lorry, fab stuff Corrie! Though why was a Lorry going that way, they never seem to use that road, last time I remember that was when Lisa Duckworth was killed off years ago.

Though I suppose that quite a few people have to start work in the early hours of the morning, and so go to bed!

Lisa Duckworth was hit by a car *outside the Rovers* though.

Many similarities in tonight's episode with the Rovers Return fire of 1986, albeit less beige dressing gowns in evidence.

Yeah I know, she was killed by the Rovers, I was just saying that was the era when Coronation Street became a main road, the street itself and the streets surrounding it, such as the back of the Street as we saw tonight.

I half expected it to end tonight with just the fire in a sort of 'will anyone find them in time' type cliffhanger.

It was better than I expected, particularly the way the other stories (the poker game and the girl's night out) finished leaving only the main story to get all the street together. The best ending I've seen ever I think. Better than the Hillman ending because that happened away from the street so was a bit self contained.

When it comes to best dramatic moment in next year's Soap Awards, they might as well not even bother with a shortlist!

How can you follow that up? One word: excellent!! Very Happy

Lisa's death was the climax of a storyline in which heavy traffic was short-cutting down Coronation Street because of roadworks on an adjacent road.

It must have been quite hard work getting all the traffic into those exterior scenes because, as those of you who have seen it will know, the set is small and there is not much more roadway other than that which you see.
