that reminds me of non product placement in a children's book where a tin of chocolate was called Quantity Street also seen Bold Blend coffee and Cron Flakes
There was magical snow towards the end of Corrie last night, in the scene when Peter went to pick up Simon in the evening, there was no snow outisde and then when Ken and Deidre walked up, there was a fair bit of snow falling and then in the next scene there was no snow at all.
hope this product placement does not get too silly other wise clare will be taking Josh to school in their picasso, with his ben ten lunch box containing dairylee dunkers, hovis white with cathedral city cheese and branston pickle and a fruit shoot. He'll meet Simon and have a play on his wii before the bell goes, then they'll warm up with Activiate before starting their lessons. Claire will pop into tescos for the family shopping with little freddie in his mclaren pushchair and visit the ladies to change his pampers nappies.
Life isn't that OTT, so I'd hope art might try and stick to a lesser level too.
TBH if they can just ask for a real-named pint, shop in an actual supermarket chain, and buy a real chocolate bar, I see no problem. God knows they won't do all three of those things inside fifteen seconds. They've never had a scene with a family walking round Freshco, looking for a 4 pack of Stelberg, a bottle of Poka-Cola, and a tube of Holgate - and however short of plot they may ever get, I don't think they're gonna suddenly start slotting such things in, shouting about real items.
But, best will in the world, many people DO mention brand names fairly regularly - it's the UK soaps that have been unrealistic in NOT doing so for so long.

Oh I don't know.
After all, you do seem to enjoy rolling your eyes a lot Steve, so this could be a bumper opportunity for you.
I thought it was really nice to see Gail and David acting like mother and son for once!
Yes, it's showing an almost caring side to David, which makes a pleasant change to constantly demonstrating his evil streak. I thought some of the scenes between them have had well written emotional undertones.
His character seems to have a far greater attachment to Gail than he is prepared to admit, and her vulnerability over the last few episodes has allowed him to show that he is really quite protective of his dippy Mum: despite her penchant for crazy husbands and boyfriends.
