I was just thinking... Presumably we'll be in for some new (or at least re-edited) opening titles at some point soon given that they prominently feature the corner shop in its pre-explosion state.

Maybe 'they' dont intend to blow up the only D & S shop that we have seen in the past as it might create too many continuity mistakes?

They might just have a small fire inside which will not affect the exterior much!

It looked like quite a big explosion from the photos in the press. There were some images posted earlier in this thread but the link to them is dead now by the looks of it. [EDIT: Cross-posted with Tom who's just re-posted the pic.]

Also, explosion or not, the yellow sign on the corner of the shop no longer matches the titles since Dev replaced it with a blue 'D&S Alahan' one.

Ah - ok. I have tried intentionally NOT to read any of the proposed storylines as to not spoil whatever happens! No problem though - I did assume there would be some fire of some sorts!

Should be good fun tonight regardless!

These episodes are clearly set at night, so how come this picture I posted several pages ago . . .

. . . looks (to me at least) as though the corner shop explosion takes places during daylight hours?

mabey in the 10'oc episode it moves to daylight and maya fless in broad daylight with cops everywhere. Sounds like a Homer Simspon thing! Mabey the fire is so intense it goes on all day & night? only have to wait 1h 30 mins
WM
Weather Man
Harry Hill will really make this episode so funny!!

I suppose from a photography point of view you would need quite a long exposure to capture the effects of the fire adequately and so they might have taken those photos in the day to better illustrate the devastation cauesd. (no pun intended!)

A good 7.30pm episode tonight IMO, I like the use of the Real Time affect, seems to make it more interesting, I know they couldn't do it all of the time, but it seems to work well in the Mad Maya storyline, the Ladies night out and the Guys playing Poker.

Will be watching at 10.00pm.

Now to me, this...

Looks like this...

except closer and a bit later, therefore, the white over the picture is the smoke, plus if you look closely you can see the headline from the next page coming through, so it may have been lightened through the scanner as it's thin newspaper, paper.

And you can't see the sky in either photo, just the roof so you can't tell by that either. And even though they've got fire, surely they'll have used flood lights or something, wouldn't they?
