funny how Joe and gail are working on the boat all day yet when the factory staff were talking to Simon's Grandad / Lucy's father the boat was covered up

They went in for a tea-break Wink Or perhaps they were hiding Dev's tiles for Jake? Laughing

Why does that Boat seem very very familiar to me - is it Des Barnes' boat?

Ohh now, you might be onto something there. Dead corpse inside.. body of Steph?

Although the boat caught fire didn't it? Interesting theory though.

Well, the storyline is certainly very familiar. A battered old boat gets delivered to one of the houses on the newer
side of the street, one neighbour makes a fuss about it, last time (IIRC) Derek Wilton was leading the complaints
about Des's boat, this time it's Norris Cole (Derek's old friend) getting on his high horse about the boat.

So what next? Joe takes the boat on to the canal, goes nuts and blows it up, while Gail looks on in horror?!?

wonder if Dev's missing tiles were a bit of camera trickery as it would be quite time consuming and expensive to actually take all the tiles off

Really liking the production of this advert leading up to the end of this storyline.

Regarding the roof tiles, to me it did look like they'd been removed?! If it was trickery it was very well done!

Wasn't Des's boat a narrowboat-- or is my memory playing tricks on me? That was during his gnome-abducting phase I seem to recall Laughing

maybe they needed replaceing so they wrote in a little storyline, like on Brookside when one of the houses had subsidence caused by the roots of the tree in the front garden, which was eventually removed

Whats the deal at Jack and Vera's house? Sorry, Tyrone and Molly's! Ty was stripping the lounge wallpaper off, but now the wallpaper up is exactly the same albeit a slightly different pattern. it seems as if Corrie thought they made a mistake removing the old wallpaper and replaced it with something near enough like for like! the story line went along they lines of Mol and Ty wanting to put their own stamp on the place/ Confused

they decorated the rovers with a big fan fair then changed it again without anybody noticing, same with Dev's shop, it used to be orange tiles outside which suddenly changed to blue, also Rita's garage doors suddenly became a window then a roller shutter (which for some inexplicable reason was open last night when the fire works went off and Joe proposed to Gail)
