Corrie seem to be having a bit of a dead wood clear out at the moment, with Umed, Darryl and Luke all leaving in one week.

Tracy Barlow? She was played by Dawn Acton until she was an adult and then recast - ditto Peter Barlow although he was never a regular character until Chris Gascoyne took over. Wendy Jane Walker played Susan as a child, then the part got recast and another actress took other before Wendy returned in 1985.
Well Peter Mark 5 was (late 1970s)
Totally agree Mr Scott - and he is a far better actor than the previous actor to play this character IMO.

It would seem Nicky Tilsley is about to get another head transplant...
Ben Price to take Nick Tilsley role
At least he couldn't be a worse actor than Adam Rickitt. Unusual though for them to change the actor for a previously well established adult character. The only other example I can think of is Susan Barlow, although there was a much longer period where the character was off screen in her case. Have there been any other instances of this?

Peter Barlow has regenerated six times and none of them have had even a hint of a Scotish accent

I agree they seem to be having a clearout although I was liking Uhmed and Darryl by the end - cant say the same for Luke.
Its looks like Luke and Carla wont share any scenes together considering she is linked to him.

Darryl I certainly warmed to but Uhmed?! The buffoon was irritating with no purpose nor was he remotely funny. Luke won't be missed.
Does seem rather odd that doesn't it? I would have thought at least a couple of scenes might have happened but it just seems to be he disappears and she reappears.

Maybe they are the same person?

Why, when they introduce a senior Asian/Indian character, it always seems to be played for laughs?
I cringed every time I saw the 'comedy Asian/Indian' on screen.
Everytime I've gone into an Asian/Indian corner shop, they are professional as their white colleagues.
You could ask, 'Are all gays over the top like Sean Tully?'
A guy I've been told about locally, I didn't know he was gay, until someone told me!
Doesn't make a difference to me, I'd still say hello, when I saw him.
(Bearing in mind, until he came back to WM a few years back, I wasn't aware of Les Ross' private life, until Gaunty mentioned it on air, as I never listened to BRMB or Xtra AM!)

No, some are old like Gail's Dad or young like Todd Grimshaw.

That's very big of you.

It is indeed.
