The second episode did seem like a bit of a filler, though these episodes are supposed to be in real time, so I suppose that's why they seemed to drag out things, I suppose.
Though I did love the explosion!
Very well made, and adding a real great ending and a great cliffhanger for those that hung on throughout the episode to see the explosion.
Personally, I don't see why the 'A Night To Remember' trailer part couldn't have gone out as an ITV1 promo with the squares, straight after, though perhaps they knew that people tune straight over at the sponsership.
Unless they were to add credits (I know it would seem strange) and then air it in a mini screen on the ECP.
That ending was great, a real cliffhanger for a couple of days, shops going up, he finally clicks, phones Sunita, and then that scream!
Wow! Praise to everyone involved in this!
It was great to watch, even if it was just to see Liz, Deirdre, Frankie and Eileen drunk; "I have nice legs! Ken likes my legs. I love Ken!"
PS Why didn't Frankie know about Deidre - surely she must have known something when Susan married Baldwin? Great laffs though!
Well Susan married Mike back in 1986 and hardly anyone know about Mike and Deirdre's affair back then, only Ken, Emily and Susan I think, I dont think even Peter knew until years later, so I doubt Mike's extended family would know. Yes it was great with Liz, Eileen, Frankie and Deirdre tonight.
The 10pm episode was brilliant, I loved it especially the ending. I also liked the scene with Sean and Jason, much better than the rubbish with Kelly.
You have to laugh though. A small time solicitor called Maya ending up more organised and more experienced than a full blown arsonist and/or terrorist. How much must she have paid a mob to do all that for her or did she have it all cued-up herself? All explosives in place without anyone knowing and then all perfectly activated in perfect timing from her mission control module! Rock on Maya. Come to fantasyland!

Yes it was totally unbelieveable but that is the way soaps have been going in the UK for a couple of years now. (I won't mention Dirty Den.. ooops.) But Brookside seemed to start the trend of sensational, totally ridiculous storylines and I suppose if the public like it, treat it as escapism and enjoy it - I see no harm in it! I suppose there are only so many storylines that can get repeated with teenage pregnancy, gay characters, marriage, infidelity and relationships!
It's not utterly implausible. The shop alarms went off one after another as presumably she broke into each one before lighting a rag in a couple of petrol cans. It's so simple I do it all the time.

...and look what happened to Brookside....
I actually found the girls night out ,Sean and Jason, and Frankies (she's growing on me now) bits were excellent tonight. I'm not looking forward to the poker game - this was done annually by EastEnders in the early years (and probably still is!?) zzzzzzzz
