he can take the micky out of the fact that Janice's flat is over the butchers, with the internal front door on the same wall as the café but the external entrance down a side alley two houses away from the butchers Confused

if the external entry is to fit into the internal layout of the flat it should be between the café and the butchers

is it really that hard to get an internal set to match an exterior facade Confused

It's very easilly explained, the entrance door leads into a corridor which runs along the back of the unused terraced houses, you then turn left and go up the stairs into Janice's flat

I'm sure their first priority is building a set that looks good on screen and can be filmed well and easilly in the space they have available in the interior studio

Any idea why there's an extra episode of Corrie next Wednesday? There's still the usual number of Monday, Thursday and Friday episodes so none of those have been dropped.

Football from a couple of weeks ago resulted in no Friday episodes so they are carrying some episodes over.

I know it's easily explained but it doesn't make much sence in reality to have buildings wrapping round each other

maybe there's some accessible space above the butchers that they don't have above the unused houses so they filmed Leanne and janice up there instead, that row is just a facade with not much space inside

I know but its not real - its a television set - even though its supposed to be as realistic as possible its always been the case for years that the outside set hasnt fitted some of the internal sets - you only have to look at the Rovers for that.

I thought the extra episode was because of the football too - I expect the other 'missing' episode will be scheduled at some point soon too. It will be nice to have it on a Wednesday, a bit like when they dropped it on a Sunday and then a few months later we had the occasional Sunday episode.

I know it would have been a bit Brookside, but we could have done with some flashbacks last night, as Jack was remembering his time at the Rovers with Vera and her arguing with Hilda Ogden before they moved in.

How long do we think Kevin & Sally's 'two week' holiday will last on screen? Laughing

not sure if it's kenny baker but he's appeared in a few scenes recently

He was definitely in a scene with Becky - I think she just went "Hiya love!!!". I thought it was hilarious the way he's just randomly in a few scenes. Would be funny to see a really famous actor as a civilian in Coronation Street just saying "hello" to the regular characters.

I can remember Jack and vera moving in and carrying their 'bar' down the street Laughing

you never know, somebody in Crossroads was pregnant for 18 months

no she didn't give birth to an elephant that would be too far fetched even for crossroads
(brookside maybe)

a few flash backs would be good considering their near half a centuary, they have plenty in the archives

have eastenders ever done flashbacks, I know emerdale did when jack Sugden died Sad

I was under the impression from various sources it was Jane Rossington who was pregnant in real life, so the producers wrote the pregnancy into the storyline, but Jane then had a miscarriage in real life, but the producers were getting good feedback, so they asked Jane whether she'd mind being padded up instead, which she was, then she got pregnant again in real life.

Presumbly someone at ATV wasn't counting, so it ended up being 11 months(rather than 18 months!) apparantly.

Here's a question?

Can anyone name a female soap character/actress who was pregnant both in the series they were in & real life, at any point in tv history.

I think there were instances(currently Samia Smith in Corrie) where the character was pregnant first, then the actress became pregnant, while the character was still pregnant!

Sally Whittaker(Sally Webster) & Tracy(current Sainsbury ads) Brabin(Tricia Armstong) spring to mind ISTR.

That would have been good - especially the argument with Hilda.

Until I watched the Corrie box sets I hadnt realised Corrie did a flashback in a 1970 episode to an episode in the early 1960s. But flashbacks on Corrie are very rare.

Yes Tyrone and Molly seemed to be on holiday a lot longer than 2 weeks!

they did some audio flash backs with Mike Baldwin when he was remembering Alma

back to friday's episode, what day was it mean to be as Simon wasn't in school and Janice wasn't in work so I assumed it to be a Saturday, the Sophie and her boyfriend were in their school uniforms (at 2pm, long lunch break)

talking of soap actresses being pregnant it's quite bizar to think of Gloria Todd being pregnant with Craig Harris Confused
