On tonight's Calendar they had a report from the street (due to some vague regional reference that the special effects were done by a man from our region).

Anyway you could see over the top xmas decs on the Battersby's (no surprises there) and the Corner Shop boarded up, with just the edge of the Manchester Arndale Centre style brown tiles showing at the side, so it looks like the shop will not be reopening this side of 2005. Maybe Rita can start selling groceries again like that time they had a price war, or maybe they could relocate in the old D&S Hardware premises!

At the end of tonights first episode, i thought it was a bit tacky IMO. A NIGHT TO REMEMBER! It would have been okay, if they just ended with Maya staring at the window.

Yes I totally agree - it couldve ended just with Maya staring at the window and fading out. Introducing a short edited sequence of events to come with some music and the words "A NIGHT TO REMEMBER" just after Dev had said those immortal words was a bit obviosu and tacky!

A bit "Neighbours" I thought..... Or Santa Barbara - what a classic show that was - anyone remember it?!

Yawn @ the 20:30 episode so far!

Jack and Frankie were entertaining but otherwise couldnt have these three episodes have been contained in two episodes?

The first episode was good but the second was so boring, so much for Maya's Mad Monday, she has only been in 1 scene so far!

And yes 2 episodes would have been sufficient tonight

So you only watch to see the explosive scenes, don't you like the good character driven plots that corrie does so well?. The likes of Jack and Vera have been brilliant over the past few days.

People are always moaning, if you read the descriptions in your chosen listings mag you would know that it doesn't all happen until 10pm

Well i intentionally posted after the first half of the second episode out of three as something was bound to happen at the end of the second episode!

Was that a gas explosion or does Maya have access to the WMD that Sadaam alledegelly used to have?

I love all the comedy with character like Vera, Jack, Blanche, Norris etc I think Corrie has been superb over the last few months, I just felt the 2nd episode tonight was a bit poor, all that rubbish with Kelly and Sean - zzzzzzzzzzz. The 8.30pm episode was just a filler episode.

Thanks, Jez, I cant agree more - it was a total filler and the Sean and Kelly story is pathetic and totally boring. The rest of it has been good. I have especially enjoyed Blanche over the last few weeks and Norris' comments aswell!

Let's hope there is some swearing in this post-watchshed episode at 10pm!

Agree about the second episode - it was very much a filler and didn't get into action until the last few minutes. The scenes with Frankie were brilliant though.

The end of the 7.30pm episode was very out of character - but absolutely brilliant!
