For someone of a relatively elder age, why is Emily Bishop in the pub every day??????

Because she's secretly a turps-nudger, a storyline to explore in the future (that was a joke, but now I've said it...!)

By the way, what happened to that character,Willie Eckerslike, who used to be mentioned in every episode but rarely appeared? Is he still in it?

Dissapeared into the Coronation Street's Bermuda Triangle I suppose: Along with Yana Lumb, Boris the butcher, George, Ivor, Doreen, Eric the booky and so on.

So next Friday two episodes of Corrie are lost to the UEFA Super Cup. Anyone know if they're rescheduling them (nothing the next week), or are they seeing sense and dropping them instead, saving themselves a bit of cash and the hassle of rescheduling?

that really makes a lot of sense, put Corry on a Thursday so it doesn't clash with football on Wednesdays, then show football on a Friday and not show Corry on the Wednesday instead Rolling Eyes

Emily is always in the pub for lack of anything else for her to do, except be in the Kabin / corner shop / café / bookies / bus stop / R&R. ohh, sorry wrong soap Embarassed

she's done well being in it for nearly fifty years with relatively few story lines

noticed Rita out and about a lot lately, maybe Barbara is fed up of kabin scenes

There's football next Wednesday as well though. So if ITV hadn't moved Corrie to Thursday you'd be losing three episodes instead of only two. The Friday match is just a one-off, but football on Wednesdays will be a regular occurrence.

I cant see the 2 episodes we lose scheduled anywhere else? I dont see the harm in losing a couple of episodes as there is more than enough every week but no doubt they will make up for them at some point.

Alison King returned to filming this morning so it wont be long until Carla is back on screen! I cant wait to see what happens. Smile

And then there was that guy who was always on fire. I haven't seen him for a long time either. What was his name again. Ah, yes. It was Flamin Eck.

I was in Manchester today and managed to spot a grand total of 6 Corrie stars, 6 more than I usually see when I visit on a weekend. I didn't say hello or anything though as I'm not that forward, plus those that were away from Granada were going about their own private business and were with other people

I saw 'Ryan Connor' in the centre of Manchester itself (on two seperate occasions bizzarely) and 'Roy Cropper' and 'Michelle Connor' walking to/from Granada. At the Corrie gates themselves 'Luke Strong' and 'John Stape' were signing autographs and having their photos taken with fans while 'Audrey Roberts' left in her car.

You can also see the 'Joe's Klever Kitchens' van parked in the area where the Granada Studios Tour used to be

And talk of the opening titles needing changing when the Metrolink trams change their colour. They should be using edited titles with no tram at the moment as the majority of the system is closed for engineering work!

Don't forget Chuck... he never had a surname, but he was always referred to. I imagine he's returned to the US now.
