good episodes last night with the wedding getting busted by the drug squad
of course the pub has to be left empty and unlocked in order for slug to get in and plant the drugs in Becky's bag knowing full well she is actually in there
and he also knows that the pub is usually left unlocked when it's closed
as usual in soaps all children miraculously disappear at any moment of high drama so Amy Barlow was suddenly not at the reception despite being a brides maid at the wedding
she was probably in her bedroom playing her Wii
wonder if Deirdre sat in her bedroom playing her 8-track when she was a girl

I didn't reckon much to last night's episodes.
They just felt a bit silly, although some moments were funny with the return of the big Jim MacDonald and the squad raiding Betty's handbag.

The Betty's handbag scene was funny, unlike the Ashley needing a wee scene which was painful.
I would greatly welcome Jim back permanently. He's a great character. I'd like to see him and Liz getting it on again.

He was dead on, so he was. Unlike Steve's dancing (when Lloyd was ironing); he needs to catch himself on, get the crack and so on..

I wasn't that fussed with last nights episodes - ive gone off Becky and Steve as character to be honest.
However it was great to have Andy and Jim back so it was
as well as Liz "urrrr nurrr Steevvvvve"
And Michelle has come around to the idea of Tony and Maria rather quickly - I agreed with everything she said Thursday - Liam WOULD turn in his grave!!

I'm surprised it's taken 24 hours for everyone to dig out their Jim McDonald lines
I also think Jim should return for good, but I think it would be a bit far fetched if he got back together with Liz (so it would)

That was annoying, especially as they only live about five doors down from the pub.
Or weren't they allowed to leave the premises until the raid was over?

I don't think they were, but I don't understand why they wouldn't let him into the toilets. Unless they thought our Ash was going to flush some coke down the toilet. Now that would be a storyline.

I did like Jim's line when the Rovers was being raided, about Lloyd being on drugs-- a cheeky dig at Craig Charles by scriptwriters perhaps?
I suspect the reason police were reluctant to let Ashley go to the loo, was that he could flush something... happens all the time... well... it does to DI Manson anyway

The scene where the Windasses were carrying the cake across the street and Fiz just happened to lose control of her scooter was a tad slapstick for my liking. It was like a scene off Chucklevision
Why Fiz and Kelly Crabtree were hanging around the street all episode was odd as well, considering I suppose it was meant to be a Saturday.

As a self-confessed news junkie, loved Sean's (?) (Anthony Cotton's) reference in last night's episode to "1988 - the year of Sue Lawley and the Lesbians! And Nicholas Witchell had to sit on one to soften her up". LOL.
For someone of a relatively elder age, why is Emily Bishop in the pub every day??????
By the way, what happened to that character,Willie Eckerslike, who used to be mentioned in every episode but rarely appeared? Is he still in it?
