Although listings are only really more detailed for the terrestrial channels - and really you should ask yourself do you need that extra info - is it that important to know who's presenting the weather on Wednesday afternoon?

The cheaper mags may be more soap orientated, but What's on TV and TV Easy have pretty decent coverage of the digital channels, and TV Easy's Pick of the Day usually goes beyond the obvious choices too.

No, but for those of us with an interest in tv pres its nice to have info such as who is presenting News at Ten or Five News. I remember when they used to give regional presenters names in the RT listings too.

I think TV Times is prob my fave mag overall as the articles are longer and more interesting that the likes of Whats on TV (and rightly so for the price you pay) but TV Times also has a good soap guide but dont seem to be completely soap orientated like Whats on TV.

I buy 'Radio Times' purely because it only has one avoidable page of Soap coverage a week and dedicated front covers are few and far between.

Darryl, Luke and Joe are all leaving. Carla, Sunita (plus twins), Leanne and Nick (recast) are confirmed to be returning, but despite speculation nothing official has been announced about Tina O Brien returning. Michelle is also back on screen next week.

I could swear I read in a soap magazine (which I only glanced at on the Tesco shelves - didn't buy! Laughing ) that Karen was returning with Steve's son, or was that just more speculation?

Good Corrie for me last night - some bloke in prison offered Rosie Webster 150k!!! And Emily was being comforted in the Rovers by Manuel from Fawlty Towers.

The bloke in prison is John Stape, an ex teacher Rosie had a fling with so he lost his job, and got beaten up by her dad, he then sort of took revenge on her by abducting her (as you do) and locking her up in the attic of his dead granny's cottage for a month
(come on, this is corry, who needs incestous sibblings, lesiban kisses and bodies under the patio Laughing )

so he's now in jail for said abduction and in recompense had offered her the £150,000 as compensation

Also John Stape knew Fiz from back in the day, they had a relationship until said Rosie Webster incident. After Chesney was severely bullied at school, Fiz decided to give Chez home-schooling. Fiz decided to go to visit John in prison, for advice on teaching-- Fiz has fallen for John again.

Jack P Shepherd has said that he thinks David is a "d_ckhead", and would hate him in real life-- so I suppose that answers that question! Craig Gazey is not much different from Graeme in real life, if his telly interviews are anything to go by.

It's a shame that TV Times isn't to the same standard as the Radio Times but more 'downmarket' with soap pages etc like in the old pre-1991 days but sadly that sort of detail can't be sustained thesedays

The first one is a great shame and has been underused throughout his entire time on the show, Luke was probably only Carla's maternity cover so is no great loss. I would have prefered Joe to stay as Gail seems to have an endless line of men now, none staying around, but the endless 'painkillers' storyline is dragging on a bit

Not sure why they would bring back Nick, as a character he's been away so long, I can't see how it would work. I wouldn't mind Tina O'Brien coming back, and hopefully now she has been knocked back and got hardly any work since leaving Corrie, her acting may step up a gear to how it was in her early days

Jim McDonald should stop messing about and come back permanently (just so we can all do the usual 'catch yourself on, the big house, so he is' stuff). I also think that Todd and Cilla should return

Soap mags are good at putting speculation on the covers to try and get people to buy them - soaplife in particular seems to do this.

Yes Luke is no loss - what a dissapointing pointless character. I like Joe so it's a shame to see him go.

One of my fave characters at the moment is Graeme.

I agree - Graeme is hilarious at times and is one of only a handful of 'new' characters that actually fit in well. Shame to hear Darryl's going though, he's been thoroughly underused IMO.

I notice tonight's episode is written by the brilliant Daran Little. I thought he left the writing team a while back, or did I get it wrong?

I like the fact that they left the bit in where Norris stumbled over his lines tonight. Its more realistic, its how people speak in real life.

He did leave Nicky but he appears to be back now.

Its nice to see Emily have a love interest instead of it always being Reet who gets the men! Wink

I'm enjoying the new 'Chesney with attitude', living with whiney Fiz and thick Kirk, no wonder Chesney is in a bad mood

I liked Emily's slide show with the comedy 'how did that get in there' routine. They should have used a photo from that 1970s seaside trip that they all went on (assuming Emily went on it)

After Tracy Barlow murdered Charlie, I remember a picture falling off the set behind her.
