After tonight's episode I've an idea for a skit on Harry Hill's TV Burp.

Warren Baldwin says a line
Harry: what?
Warren says the same line
Harry: eh?
Warren says the line again
Harry: Oh, Harry then repeats the same line in an incoherant fashion!

The "speech impediment" even referred to tonight by Sean.

Corrie have rescued the BBC's Children in Need with "Oliver!" - the only thing worth watching on it tonight really.

Got me thinking that it be nice occassionally for the odd episode of Coronation Street to move away from "reality" and do something different (e.g's What If? episodes / Flashbacks etc) and even the odd musical episode, for example on Christmas Day.

They are starting this in a way next week with the "real time" episodes, and have done things like the "live" episode in the past.

I dont think Warren is that bad, I can understand MOST of what he says now, lets face it he is only there for his looks not his acting ability. Im not keen on all these cockneys in Corrie but Danny and Frankie have improved.

I saw the Corrie Children in Need Special, thought it was very well done.

He had a very good CV up until joining Corrie.

Even Gabby said that the Corrie thing was brilliant, and was the best thing ever shown on CIN, imagine, Corrie saved the night for the BBC!?! I love Danny and Frankie, but Jamie and Warren have to go, if not both, then Warren, I just can't stand him!

Maya's Mad Monday - 2 days to go!

I don't think Corrie doing Oliver! was the best thing 'ever' on CiN Confused

It may possibly be one of Corrie's biggest weeks - but make sure you catch it first time round as live coverage of I'm a Celebrity has completly wiped out the ITV2 repeats.

The same night repeats remain - but are pushed back till after midnight, but the daytime repeats are gone - and I expect there will be no omnibus this weekend on ITV2.

It's a shame ITV didn't take this opportunity to repeat it on ITV3, which I'd say is Corrie's more natural home.

Dont forget there is an omnibus on ITV1 next Saturday as well.

I would like ITV3 to show Corrie, but only Classic Corrie, there is enough current Corrie repeats.

I agree with Jez. ITV2 should also have a fixed time for same night repeats, say, 10pm, to rival BBC Three's Eastenders repeat, and classic corrie would be more suitable on ITV3.

At one time I think ITV2 did have a fixed time for the evening repeats, now they are all over the place, and seem to be whenever ITV2 can fit them in.

I would like to see Corrie from 1997-2000 again on ITV3, those years were great, or failing that how about late 70s/1980s corrie.

Was anyone from this forum outside the gates of the Corrie set at about 2pm last Tuesday? I'd not been to Manchester for years and had to go up for work so I popped along to peep through the gates. There appeared to be builders tackling the corner shop. I got excited when I saw the "D &S Alahan" sign on the corner - thinking it was part of a rebuilt shopfront - only for it to be unveiled in the following evening's episode. Oh well!

The Oliver routines were excellent the other day - I thought Fizz was particularly good, and Kirky looked great in his tall hat! ITV1 should get them to do something like this for Christmas day episodes - not the ridiculous wedding and misery of Karen going that is expected this year.

I was up in Manchester back in August but they had this wooden board thing up so I could see was the back upstairs windows off the shop and Sally House and the rooftops.

Anyway, one of the Sunday papers today revealed the outcome of the Maya storyline.

Dev and Sunita survive the fire, but Maya decided to try and kill them again by knocking them over in the street with her car. However she misses and the car crashed into a wall, and then a lorry crashes into the car, and Maya dies.
