I don't think the person writing and/or reading the AD script is a fan of Coronation Street.

I don't understand it so a simple explanation would suffice, not a comment of mildy subtle sarcasm Wink

How dare you!

It wasn't subtle at all! Wink

It showed the last scene of Monday night's Coro (first epi), with the narrator explaining how people's facial expressions reacted to the news that Julie and Jason were related. The narrator described Deirdre's expression, despite the footage showing Eileen at that time!

Its also worth noting that Deirdre wasn't even in that scene. She was at home watching 'comedy' with Ken. Speaking of which, what was the comedy she was watching?

It sounded like the kind of quick fire lines that someone like Tim Vine would come out with but I didn't recognise the voice.

"One Christmas my Uncle just gave me a single grain of rice. Thanks a lot Uncle Ben."

I noticed also that the EPG for the second episode on Monday said "Liz feels threatened by Becky", but Liz wasn't in the episode, and is still supposedly in Spain with Andy.

It would seem that Beverley Callard has had to be written out for some reason at short notice. Does anyone know why?

It has been reported in the tabloids that her pub that she owns has had severe money troubles and caused a 'mental breakdown' of sorts, hence why she is taking time off to fix her financial troubles.

thanks Roger, now I understand, all i could see was the little square you get when your video content isn't showing

and Julie and Jason are not half-sibblings, Julie and Eileen are half sisters, Julie and Jason would be half aunt / nephew

I like the Granada announcer at the end saying, "I wonder if Jason got that, Jase, she's your Auntie"

Sad to hear that. I hope she's back soon. I think Liz is a great character, and Beverley was lovely when I met her some years ago.

Yeah Beverly was lovely when I met her too!

Good episode again last night - Barbara Knox never fails to disappoint when they give her some decent scenes.
