I loved Brookside and Scouse is the only accent I can do properly lol!

I see there is an episode of Corrie scheduled for Easter Sunday - prob because we were 1 ep short this week.

I did laugh at the superb response from Blanche in one of tonight's episodes:

Ken: "It looks as though Peter has turned a corner"
Blanche: "Let's hope there isn't a pub on it."

Blanche always gets the good lines doesn't she? I wonder what she'd make of Martha, she probably say something like: "Was it a case of Longboat Named Desire, Ken?". I just wish somebody would answer Blanche back with an acid retort one day-- just for a change.

Make of this what you will...

Does anyone think Emily sounds a bit like George from Rainbow? I do. Have a listen next time she is on.

Funny you should say that, I saw a clip of her from an episode in 1987 and she sounds far more pronounced. No offence to Eileen Derbyshire or Barbara Knox for that matter as she sounds slightly different now to how she once did.

I think there was an example of 'Most deliberate attempt to get on TV Burp of the week' tonight with Ken saying "There's only one way to find out"

The scriptwriters do seem to write Harry Hill material in Corrie and Emmerdale more and more IMO Smile

They'll be disappointed when they realised the current series of TV Burp finished on Saturday. Wink

I'm very much looking forward to this...

Sounds like we're in for some Blanche Gold.

What are everyone's views on Corrie at the moment? There isnt really that much of interest going on currently but looking at the spoiles for the next few weeks it looks like we have some good storylines coming up - but also more of the same with Becky/Steve and David/Gail etc.

The trouble is they seem to concentrate too much on the same characters i.e. David, Tina, Becky, Steve, Michelle and leave others such as Tom with very little to do.

I must admit im enjoying Emmerdale more at the moment!

PS Don't forget an extra episode of Corrie tonight at 7.30pm - I know some people forget these extra episodes and end up missing it! Wink

The Corrie writers have obviously been watching Vicar of Dibley repeats

Blanche's Lesbianism and Dogs Mess lines were funny Laughing

I notice that Peter does often gets the better of Blanche (contrary to my earlier remark, I know Laughing ), for instance the "stuffed animal" conversation involving Simon on Friday.

So yes, should be some golden dialogue between him and Blanche.
