Friday's episode was great, the look on Karen's face and Steve's too after all he did to avoid her seeing the show. Karen gives Tracy Love another slap tonight! My fave characters at the moment are TRACY, Karen, Liz, Maya, Steve, Blanche, Vera, Deirdre and Sally. A shame we hardly see one of my all time fave's, Rita, these days.

I too noticed the celeb idents playing in the background when Karen was waiting for the quiz show to come on, the Barlow's *clearly* entered an ITV quiz show then, they have taste Wink

As for the corner shop, well I read a post on digital spy about 2-3 weeks ago from someone who had seen the state of the corner shop on the set. Next week there is going to be too much Corrie on but I just know I will watch all 8 episodes as im such a huge fan.

Vera's mugging is going to take place on Friday's episode.

Can't wait for the Maya, Dev and Sunita "saga"...

I wonder if Charlie will get the contract for the rebuilding work?!

I'll end up watching all 8 too - begrudgingly though as our well rehearsed "less is more" discussions have explored in the past.

Tonights episode was excellent from start to finish. I loved it when Karen walloped Tracy, she so deserved that. Kate Ford and Suranne Jones were superb tonight, Tracy looked convincingly shocked and upset after being hit, who says Kate Ford cant act eh? She was also very good in that scene with Deirdre. The final scene was brilliant when Karen threw all of Liz and Steve clothes from the window of the flat.

I also liked the storyline with the Duckworths, when everyone in the pub went quiet when Vera said Prince Charles was coming. Its also nice that the script writers havent forgotton Vera thinks she is related to royalty.

Some great one liners from Norris too, especially when he made a comment about Clla's not so small small's.

10/10 for tonights episode

According to one of my sister's "girly mags", it states that Sean and Kelly get "close"! Surely not?? Maybe they meant Danny - even though that storyline has already been. But - Sean Oh well...

As the script writers can allow a character to suddenly "decide" to be gay (ie Todd) then I suppose Sean could suddenly be "turned straight"... Rolling Eyes
I'll wait to see how this turns out, but haven't they already insulted many gay people already this year with their clumsy portrails of coming out and gay characterisation?

I agree with Jez - 10/10 for tonight's episode though!

I don't see the problem with Todd's storyline.

Speaking from a personal point of view, I was in a long term relationship with a girl about ten years ago, and as far as those who knew me were concerned, I was straight. No-one had any reason to think otherwise.

Since then I've come out and am now living happily with my boyfriend. It didn't mean I had 'decided' at any point to be gay, it was just that I had been living in denial for a long time, and trying my best to fit in with what I thought was expected of me. In the end I just couldn't cope with living a lie.

Maybe you expected a few more hints beforehand that Todd might be gay, but believe me, you get very good at keeping any feelings or expressions of attraction to the same sex totally hidden if you're denying them.

Thankfully all of my friends and family have accepted that I'm gay, and none of them thought that I'd changed my sexual orientation overnight on whim.

Hi, Razz this is my first post, and I agree about 10/10 for last nights eppie. I would actually like to see Tracey love getting slapped around a bit more by Karen. Would also like to see Karen wolloping Liz (M in L from hell) one as well. Maybe it would wipe off silly grins from both faces.
Best one liner recently I think, was Fizz saying to Hayley, she was a GOSLING meaning QUISLING of course. The humour in Corrie is tremendous.

CORRIE’S Karen McDonald is set to have a Christmas full of misery with a miscarriage AND a car smash.

When Karen (Suranne Jones) loses her baby it sends her into a spiral of depression and madness.

Heartbroken, she kidnaps hubbie Steve’s daughter Amy and takes her on a terror drive.

It ends as she crashes and is trapped with Amy in a fireball.

The only light relief in the ITV1 soap comes with Ashley Peacock (Stephen Arnold) marrying Claire Casey (Julia Howarth) on Christmas Day.

Well many people that I know just assume I am straight even now (despite the fact ive never had a girlfriend and have a boyfriend) they have never asked me if I am gay (why would they?) so ive never told them. I think ive been put off telling more people after the way someone treated me when he found out.

As for the Todd storyline, well I think it was handled in the wrong way because he cheated on his fiancee and slept with another man. And I didnt like Karl either as he went and slept with Todd who he knew had a pregnant fiancee, without giving it a second thought. It would have been better having a gay character coming in with a boyfriend rather than the whole "coming out" thing.
