Sometimes I wish Tina would ditch those earrings - they really are awful.

Also, I'm guessing these scenes with the windowbox are to cover Ken's absence or is it too early?

The windowbox scenes were classic Corrie, Graham teaming up with Eileen's dad was interesting as was Norris complaining about getting compost between his layers!

I still can't imagine him who plays Graham in a serious theatre role that he apparantly used to do

Has anyone else noticed that The Rovers has become somewhat Tardis like?
Of late they have been showing more and more of the upstairs "Living" Room which has suddently appeared out of know where - I even noticed tonight that adjacent to it, it's now grown a kitchen too! - I've watched Corrie for over 40 years and has far as I can remember, the upstairs living room has never been mentioned, let alone shown. So it beg's the question - How big is the upstairs? - In addition it has at least three bedrooms to my knowledge, perhaps there's a West or East wing waiting to surprise us all.
The producers must really think us stupid and personally I feel they're taking the michael out of us!.
The story lines are sometimes difficult enough to believe, but when the sets start to grow in size, then I start to feel slightly insulted.

Surely the Rovers has always been Tardis like.

The customers have always gone to the loo in the back room of the Barlow's house and when I was a kid I could never work out where the function room was!

Have a look at this:

I agree the windowbox scenes tonight were classic Corrie.

Also the look on Gail's face when she heard Tina say David started the fight! Of course Gail's kids NEVER do anything wrong do they!

They film 5-6 weeks in advance I believe so Ken should be gone in about a week or so?

So that old "Select" area was in the middle of the road then!

Anyone recall how the press reacted to the removal of the snug back in the eighties? I'm sure nowadays they'd be a "Save the Snug" campaign - did they care back then?

the reason the rover's is too big is because it was based on a large pub on the end of archie street long before the current set was built. so as the exteria of the building has gone from studio flats to outdoor facade to the current set the interior has remained true to the original archie street building it was modeled on

The thing I'm confused with is that where the toilet doors face the side of the pub in line with the front entrance doors. If you go outside the pub, there is an smallish alley between the pub and the first house so technically there shouldnt be any toilet doors as it would just be a brick wall looking from it on the outside?

that gap was put in the current 1982 set to make space for the toilets

best of all is the toilets have windows which to all intents and purposes look back into the pib Confused
