Is that John Thompson character due to come back, or was he just a one-off novelty cameo, a bit like when Peter Kay was in it a few years ago?
It did seem at the time that he could be a potential love interest of Eileen, but then nothing's come of it.

He's filming Kingdom at the moment, but once he's finished that he returns to Coro I believe (he was interviewed on either Loose Women or This Morning recently)

By the way, what do we reckon the odds are of Joe punching the wall appearing on TV Burp this week?

Paul was the name of Maria and Liam's baby. I think the date of death is that of the baby's.
Indeed it was their baby's grave (perhaps Liam is also buried there and his name on the headstone is hidden by the flowers)

Today I notice there is some speculation that Anne Kirkbride may quit. I'm not sure if this is tabloid tittle-tattle, but reportedly she wishes to concentrate on art work-- plus she is now finding Coro's filimng schedule too heavy-going.
Her contract doesn't expire until 2010, so I'm sure we'd hear something more concrete nearer the time?
