That was a really good episode tonight - Tony scenes were really chilling.

Loved Carla's "'Drop your knickers girls, it's Christmas" lol

Corrie writers proving they are not down with the kids by choosing to reference My Space over Facebook or Bebo.

Wasn't Rosie trying to act older though.

Maybe, but then she'd of made a reference to Facebook instead, no one uses My Space anymore.

The subtitles in tonights episode mentiomed 'Gale' and 'Becky' (rather than Wiki).

I thought it was strange that Carla even knew who Emily was in last night's episode.

Yes! And do Deirdre and Gail ever talk or interact given they're in the programme so long together!

Gail and Deirdre have had some scenes together over the years - most recently during the Charlie/Tracy stuff when im sure Gail was involved as a concerned neighbour. I remember a scene in a really old episode when I when Ken and Deirdre divorced Gail told her how sorry she was, and how her kids were much younger when her and R Brian divorced. But generally they dont interact much considering they are around the same age and have been in the show together over 30 years.

Anyway IMO the first half of tonights episode was quite disappointing but the 2nd half more than made up for it!

Like Carla needs an excuse Laughing

I enjoyed tonight's epi; loved the scenes with Wiki, Noris, Emily. Great farcical scenes chez Platt too-- I felt sorry for Gail! Tony is starting to get quite chilling, as you say-- more than a touch of Hillman about him.

Who says nobody uses Myspace-- I do for a start (although being a cyber-whore, I use Facebook as well-- get me!). I haven't found Rosie's photoshoot pics, before anyone asks Wink

The ratings 7.6 million illustrate the fact that there was no need for an hour special. A half an hour would have been enough. Less is more!

Or that most people just watch BBC1 at Christmas? Corrie never performs brilliantly on Christmas Day.

Although I agree there was perhaps little need for it to be an hour. I agree with Jez that it didn't really pick up until the second half of the episode with Maria and the party at the Platts.

So the half hour would get 7.6m and the other programme on instead would have got less than 7.6m. Not sure that would be sensible
