I rather like Graham. His "Cup of tea anyone?" line last night really made me laugh at such a moment of high tension. I think he's got potential to be a great character.

Also, upon David and Tina carping about their parents' romance: "What a waste of stress... all they want to do is go for long walks in comfortable shoes".

Almost as funny as Gok Wan and Sean having a catfight on Children In Need-- culminating with girlfriend Gok dressing up as Hayley Cropper. It happens.

Amber seemed on quite good form last night. Not quite sure why, but the line, "Ta-ra Tara" really made me giggle.

The new family seem like they will be good additions to the cast - especially the son and uncle. Graham is also another great new character.

Its also nice to have Peter back - is Ken forgetting that he packed Susan and Peter off to their grandparents in Scotland after Val's death and barely saw them from one year to the next? Father of the year he is not, so he should lay off Peter.

Im really missing Liam and Carla - thank goodness Carla is back on the 26th but will be off again from February for Alison to have her baby.

I doubt Ken has forgotten, since Peter has been frequently reminding him of that!

Yeah I'm glad Graham has returned, his scenes were great when David was in the detention centre-- nice he has kept his comic edge.

I just hope that Carla has laid off the botox in LA Wink Sorry you're missing Liam, but there's not a lot we can do about that I'm afraid....

Don't like the Wyndass lot at all - why does every new family have to be scummy low-life? If I want to see those sort of characters I'll watch Eastenders. Are they permanent? Surely they'll not move into Sinbad's old house? Please.

I believe they are moving into Jerry's old house.

Good episodes tonight, I liked the scenes with Emily and Jed. The writers remembered that she was Emily Nugent when they knew each other back in the 60s.

I dont mind the new family, they are more interesting than the Mortens ever were.

If Peter Barlow spent most of his childhood in Scotland why does he have a Nottingham accent Confused

maybee yobby families who scam the DHSS and don't pay builders for services rendered get more viewers

Peter did have a Scottish accent when he was played by a different actor. The last 2 actors havent been Scottish tho. At least 1 actress who played Susan was Scottish too.

It's a shame when the Windass lad chased after them he didn't say "fff" again this time Laughing

I think I'd rather have the Mortens back, at least I'd started to warm to them. I really disliked the kitchen smashing scenes, I don't believe that Tina would have done any of it. The whole family feud plot will be one big yawn of excuses for OTT drama - and the Wyndass's moving on to the street is just ridiculous.

Otherwise, it's pretty good at the moment -and Graham is a very welcome addition! Laughing

Not keen on aunty Pam though, her l"comedy" lines are just a bit too contrived for me - and she has a very itrritating way of speaking!

Although David Lonsdale came from Southport; very well-spoken in real-life though (like many "hacktaaaws" in real-life), quite amusing when you consider his broad North Yorkshire tones as David in Heartbeat !

I don't mind Pam too much, I think she is supposed of that droll/lugubrious lineage, as with Julie-- perhaps a double act in the making there? I don't think anybody could top Edna Miller in that category though Laughing

Speaking of which I love Graham's line in quirky humour, provides the perfect foil to Tina's and David's feisty relationship.

'Auntie Pam' is a badly contrived addition. I'm sure she was intended as a comedy tool, but unfortunately her mere existance isn't credible.

If I had such a relative I'd have fitted a set of heavy duty bolts on the back door by now, or emigrated.

I now find myself fast-forwarding through the Tyrone scenes in the same way I've done with Dev's for months.

I'm presuming something must be happening with Dev other than retailing food these days as I have to fast-forward through quite alot during some episodes.
